Chamber Choir
Southampton University Chamber Choir is an award-winning group composed of 20-25 auditioned singers from the university, ranging in age, background and degrees. The choir performs several concerts over the course of the academic year, including a choir 'tour' abroad during the Easter break. We perform to a high standard both locally and internationally, working closely with our conductor, Ben Qureshi.
Southampton University Chamber Choir is an award-winning Choir composed of 20-25 singers from around the university. SUCC is the only auditioned choir at the university. It aims to perform to the highest possible standard both locally and internationally. With help from our professional conductor, Ben Qureshi, the choir promotes individual vocal development, choral growth and general wellbeing.
A majority of our music is choral sacred, but we have a diverse range of Classical, Soul and occasionally so far as Jazz or Pop! We perform in various venues from Romsey Abbey, Turner Sims and other Southampton venues to cathedrals and churches in Malta, Mallorca and more.
Auditions for the choir are held at the start of the Autumn Semester - follow our instagram @susuchamberchoir to keep updated.
Rehearsals are held 7pm to 9pm on Highfield Campus.

These are the current membership fees offered by Chamber Choir, although many clubs and societies offer a free period for new members to try out their activities.
