Whether you study a hispan-lusophone language, you are a national from one of their countries or you simply have an interest in the diverse cultures, we welcome anyone and everyone to a world of Latin music, fiestas and fiery passion! Throughout the year you can expect us to be hosting events that will tantalise your taste buds, help you meet fellow learners of Spanish and/or Portuguese, get your feet moving and ultimately a smile on your face! Look out for themed culture nights, film screenings, language cafés, plenty of parties, and possibly even a trip to a secret Iberian destination to be revealed at a later date... If you like the sound of what's above, come and pay us a visit at the Bunfight during freshers week to find out more :) After all, according to the very wise Celia Cruz: "La vida es un carnaval!" These are the current membership fees offered by Spanish, Latin American and Portuguese Society, although many clubs and societies offer a free period for new members to try out their activities.

As a member, you’ll have the chance to take part in exciting socials, cultural celebrations, language exchanges and parties throughout the year. Our events are a great way to meet new people, make friends, and experience the food, music, and traditions of Spain, Latin America, and Portugal. We also run a WhatsApp groupchat where you can stay connected with other members and keep up to date with everything that’s happening.
