Welcome to Southampton Engineering Society! Here at SUES, we aim to make all engineers feel welcome, and provide opportunities to further their careers throughout their degree. Whether it's academic, social or sports events that you're interested in, we want to make sure your time as an engineer here is the best it can be.
SUES works along side Southampton University Students Union and Faculty of Engineering and the Environment and various "Academic" societies in order to support Engineering students through their time at the University of Southampton.
We also work with the many "Project" societies in Southampton and strongly urge members to get involved with these amazing teams.
Some of these include:
Engineers Without Borders, Renewability and Sustainability Society, Soapbox Society, RoboSoc, Spaceflight Society, Human Powered Aircraft, Human Powered Submarine, Cameroon Catalyst.
Two project "Non-affiliates"(societies you won't find on the SUSU website) we're involved with are:
1. Southampton University Formula Student Team
"A student-run organisation within Southampton University with the aim to design, build and compete with single-seater race cars in Formula Student competitions".
2. The Vintage bus society "Toastrack"
"A 1929 Dennis bus that has been maintained by UoS students since 1958".

"Help to design, build and race a new and improved gravity-powered cart for the next racing season!"
Furthermore, we also recommend checking out our several sports teams. In the Intra-mural sports section of the SUSU website: search for "Engineering" and, in the case of the hockey team, "SUENS" to find them.
Finally, you don't need to have "engineering" in your course title to join us or our partners! We love diverse perspectives and strongly believe that anyone can have something to offer or something to gain.

These are the current membership fees offered by Engineering Society, although many clubs and societies offer a free period for new members to try out their activities.
