Maths Society
Welcome to SUMS. The hub for all things mathematics at the University of Southampton! Whether you're studying pure maths, applied maths, or any related field, SUMS offers a vibrant community for students who share a passion for numbers, problem-solving, and mathematical exploration. We host a variety of events including social meet-ups, academic talks, puzzles, and competitions, fostering a supportive environment where students can grow both academically and socially. SUMS is a society set up to give Southampton Mathematics students the chance to connect outside of lectures. We host a variety of events throughout the academic year, from pub crawls and socials to career and networking events with employers. This year we are working on hosting a range of diverse and inclusive social events that everyone can take part in.
