Running for Ukraine 2

None of us Ukrainians not even in our darkest thoughts imagined that this war would last four years.
And yet, we don’t know a single Ukrainian who has stopped fighting for our country in whatever way they can. Our fight has gone far beyond protests and rallies. We understand now the real weight of words and the real weight of action. We choose action.
We are launching a three-week fundraising challenge to raise money for tactical medical supplies. These medicines are packed in large quantities by Tata , the head of the Ptahy Foundation, and delivered to frontline military medics and paramedics.
We are a small but determined team of Ukrainians who live, believe in victory and run.
Our goal is ambitious: to raise £2,500 for tactical medicine.
We invite you to support this effort - with your donation and your heart. For every pound donated, we will run one kilometre. That means we are committing to run 2,500 kilometres in just three weeks.
We will begin symbolically on February 24.
If you and a student and would like to join the running team reach out to UoS Ukrainian Society.
Every day, we will share updates on our Facebook page with the funds raised and the kilometres completed.
We are ready to run even further, because there is never such a thing as too much tactical medicine. With grit and determination, we are preparing for this challenge. If you stand with us in heart and in action, please share this fundraiser with at least one other person.
Now is the moment to turn our words into action. It is through action that we find the strength to defend our country and to uphold the fundamental rights to life, freedom, identity, and the sovereignty of Ukraine
The Organisers
We are a group of committed students, wanting to create a safe and supporting space for all the Ukrainians at the University of Southampton. As more and more Ukrainians join the community there is a vital need for representation and support, and we are ready to take this pivotal step. We wish to create an inclusive environment, and we are welcoming people of all nationalities to join us and cheer Ukrainian culture together!
