Welcome to the wonderful world of tap dancing! We provide three classes every Wednesday, for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Our lovely qualified tap teacher combines technical steps with funky moves and jazz hands to create a perfect stress relief from uni work! Our aim is to give dancers a chance to learn something brand new, improve their technique and ability, but also to have fun and get involved in a friendly and sociable society. All three classes have the opportunity to perform in the annual USD Pure Dance show, and our intermediate and advanced tap squads also represent us at inter-university competitions, competing not only at Southampton’s own event, but also at exciting comps across the country, such as Portsmouth, Manchester, and Loughborough!
